Physical Medicine

Physical medicine is defined as a branch of medicine that identifies and corrects physical problems.  Pain, inflammation and stiffness are most commonly physical conditions.  Rather than mask the problem we believe in delivering better long-term options for our patients.  Popular medicine like opiod pain killers, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories are a little too frequently prescribed with short-term effects.  Rather than continue to prescribe these potentially harmful drugs we are turning to more natural treatments.

When you schedule your first appointment you will meet with the medical doctor for a consult and have a chiropractic exam in the same day.  This is the day we learn about you, your history and your concerns.  The doctors will collect all that information and then meet about your case to determine the best amount and frequency of care.

This method allows the patient to receive the best of the allopathic and holistic Worlds.  Some services we commonly perform in the physical medicine department are:

Chiropractic

Chiropractic is the foundation of the physical medicine program.  We believe that most of the time if you are experiencing a physical problem (pain, stiffness, decreased range of motion) you will benefit from a physical treatment (i.e. chiropractic, rehab, orthotics, etc).  We are dedicated to getting you out of pain as quickly as possible and as natural as possible.  With that being said, the programs and protocols we offer focus on correcting the source of the problem, not just covering up the symptom.

Custom Orthotics

Your feet are you foundation.  During your physical medicine/chiropractic initial visit we will take a look at your feet to determine what degree, if any, that your feet are the source of the problem.  Dr. Jason has been creating custom orthotics for 4 years.  Based on you individual foot and body we may need to change the thickness, add a heel lift, cutout certain parts, utilize the appropriate material, etc.   There are so many factors to be consider when providing this service and building the perfect orthotic, which is why we need to conduct a full exam to be able to determine the source of the concern.  Most people aren’t prescribed orthotics, but we will let you know if you are an ideal candidate.

Auto Accidents

We are now accepting auto accidents cases on a case-by-case basis.  If we have the means to provide care for your condition that is in accordance with our office policy we will treat you.  At the cornerstone of the motor vehicle treatment protocol is chiropractic and other therapeutic modalities.  Other medical services such as trigger point injections may be administered.  Furthermore, we are not accepting patients to treat on lien basis, unless approved by the clinic director.
