What is a Body Wrap?
It is a form of detoxifying using a method of exfoliation, hydration and wrapping the body in plastic wrap to increase circulation. Body wraps help to remove toxins and waste that are stored in the body. They work to speed up blood flow through the body so these toxins Loose skin makes cellulite appear worse, body wraps are typically designed with collagen-boosting features. They help the skin to tighten and take on a more youthful hue. Although it may take several treatments for the body wrap to deliver noticeable results, most people enjoy the sense of relaxation they get during treatment.
What should you expect during your treatment?
Your esthetician will measure you and help set expectations of results. Following the measuring an exfoliant will be applied to the full body in circular motions and then dusted off. A contour cream will then be added, this helps to increase circulation and start your body on its detox. After the cream is applied you will then be wrapped in plastic and helped to lay down, where you will lay and relax from 25-45 minutes. When the wrapping is complete, the plastic will be removed and the cream will be removed with warm towels.
When will I see results?
Results vary from person to person. Generally, results are seen same day, but best results are achieved after receiving three wraps.
Those with a sensitivity to niacin are not candidates for this treatment. In addition, those who are pregnant, breast feeding, have a seizure disorder or experience frequent dizziness are not candidates.
While we will do everything we can to ensure a great result, it is your responsibility to maintain that result through your personal diet, exercise and hydration. It is recommended that you hydrate extra after a body wrap to guarantee the best result.
